Notice to Bidders


Portland Public Schools will be accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a 32’ x 48’ x 10’ pole barn built in 2003.  The light gray pole barn with a shingled roof is located on the south end of the varsity football field located at 1100 Ionia Rd, Portland Michigan.  Winning bidder is responsible for all costs and labor for complete removal, including all clean up and disposal, of the entire pole barn structure except the cement pad.  Bidder will need to demonstrate, in their bid, the ability to safely remove the pole barn structure, including a timeline for its removal. Building demolition must occur between April 6, 2019 and May 13, 2019. Demolition may not to done during school hours or while Track meets are being held.


The district will hold a pre-bid open house at the pole barn in which the barn will be open for viewing on March 20, 2019 from 4:30 pm. to 5:30 pm. Contents of the pole barn are not included.
